Robert W. DeCoito, 72

Robert W. DeCoito, 72, of Haverhill passed away Friday, Oct. 3 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

He was born in Cato, N.Y. on Feb. 27, 1942, son of the late Amandio and Mary (Semas) DeCoito. DeCoito was educated in Groveland. He began his career with his own trucking company and later went into heavy equipment operating and construction. He was a Ford car enthusiast and loved spending time building Harley Davidsons. He was passionate about his own Harley and found great freedom in riding. His other interests include camping, country music and spending time with his family. He was a dedicated and a proud father and grandfather. He was a hardworking man with a gentle and giving heart. He always made time to help others and was an inspiration to all.

DeCoito is survived by his three daughters Drena M. DeCoito and her fiancé Gary Lombardi of Newton, N.H., Desiree J. and her husband Thomas Welenc of Raymond, N.H. and Dalyne A. and her husband Richard R. Villeneuve of Bedford, N.H.; six grandchildren Mackenzie Sickel, Jenelle and Jesse Welenc, Jarrett, Joshua and Farryn Villeneuve; his former wife Carolyn (Stultz) of Boynton Beach, Fla.; siblings Elaine Mortell of Hampstead, N.H., Amandio DeCoito, Jr. of Groveland, William Coito of Atkinson, N.H., Joseph DeCoito and Frank DeCoito both of Mississippi, Daniel DeCoito of Haverhill, Richard DeCoito of Fremont, N.H. and Eileen Angers of Sandown, N.H., as well as several nieces and nephews of whom he was fond. He was also the father of the late Bobby James DeCoito. His predeceased siblings Thomas Coito of Raymond, N.H. and Isabel Mills of Fremont, N.H.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the calling hours on Wednesday, Oct. 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St. Haverhill. His funeral will be Thursday, Oct. 9 beginning at 8:30 a.m. from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Angels Church of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, 8 Atkinson Depot Road, Plaistow, N.H..
