A Haverhill woman accused of obstructing justice and being an accessory in connection with a criminal investigation is due to be arraigned on charges in Haverhill District Court.
Haverhill Police report 21-year-old Idelquis Batista of Haverhill was arrested on a warrant shortly after 8:30 p.m., Monday, at 21 Hilldale Avenue. She is charged with reckless endangerment of a child, obstruction of justice and being an accessory after the fact.
In other police news, a Boston man is one of two people facing assault charges in Haverhill following a police investigation. Haverhill Police report 27-year-old Shane E. Gibson of Boston and 25-year-old Jimmy L. Tavares of Haverhill were each arrested on warrants shortly before 9 p.m., Monday, at 245 River Street. Each is charged with one count of assault with a dangerous weapon.
