Underage Drinking Party Brings 22 Arrests

Twenty-two people are due in court to face alcohol-related charges after Haverhill Police broke up an underage drinking party late Friday night.

Haverhill Police report they responded to a disturbance shortly after 11:30 p.m., Friday, at 270 Brandy Brow Road. 18 people under the age of 21, including two 17-year old-juveniles, were arrested. Each were charged with being a minor in possession of alcohol. Four men accused of supplying the alcohol to the underage drinkers were also arrested.

Jesse M. Brusso of Haverhill and Ryan M. Lescarbeau of Lawrence, both 21, are each charged with delivering alcohol to a minor while 21-year-olds James A. Dore of Haverhill and Benjamin Tocci of Groveland are each charged with procuring alcohol to a minor.

In other police news, a Haverhill man is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court on assault, firearms and child endangerment charges in connection with a disturbance Friday afternoon. Haverhill Police report 34-year old Leighton W. Young of Haverhill was arrested shortly before 3:30 p.m., Friday, at 16 Dover Street. He is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, carrying a firearm without a license, unlicensed possession of ammunition, and reckless endangerment to children.

A Haverhill woman accused of breaking and entering is being held at the Middleton jail pending court arraignment. Haverhill Police report 19-year-old Elizabeth Fuller of Haverhill was arrested on an outstanding warrant shortly after noon, Saturday, on High Street. No further details are available.

 

A Haverhill man arrested late Saturday night on multiple assault charges following a police investigation. Haverhill Police report 24-year old Miguel Velez of Haverhill was taken into custody on a warrant shortly after 11:30 p.m., Saturday, at a neighbor’s apartment on Arlington Street. He is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, and assault and battery causing serious bodily injury. He is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court.
