Elizabeth Mary Boland, 55, Haverhill Teacher

Elizabeth Mary Boland, 55, passed away on September 18, at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Jack Boland and Suzanne Morin.

Boland was born December 8, 1958, in Haverhill to John and Jane (Weldon) Boland. She grew up in Bradford, attended Haverhill schools and was a graduate of the Class of 1976. She received a B.A. in American Studies from the University of Lowell. She also held a Master’s Degree from the University of Hunking. She worked as an elementary teacher in the Haverhill Public School system for 20 years, a job she truly loved. Beth enjoyed being with family and friends, relaxing on the beach, swimming, skiing, traveling or just reading a good book.

Boland is survived by her loving parents Jack and Jane Boland of Newburyport. She was married to James M. Roche and they had two  children. She leaves her daughter, Maura Jane Roche of Crested Butte, Colorado, and her son, James Thomas Roche of Haverhill. She is also survived by three brothers and sister-in-laws, Jack Boland and his wife Suzanne Morin of Amesbury, Peter Boland and his wife Colleen of Cape Elizabeth, Maine and Mark Boland and his wife Paula of Amesbury. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Fantini and her husband Andrew Corcoran, numerous loving nieces and nephews, countless cousins, aunts and uncles, friends and the entire Roche family.

There will be no visiting hours. A Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Hearts Church, 165 South Main Street, Bradford, MA. on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 4 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
