Police Make Arrests for Driving, Assault, Drugs and Prostitution

Three people, including a Lawrence man, are facing various charges after their arrests during a traffic stop in Haverhill early Friday morning.

Haverhill Police report 41-year-old Robert Durbin of Haverhill was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a traffic light violation. Also taken into custody were 44-year-old Eddy Matias of Lawrence, who was charged with assault and battery. The third man, 38-year-old Johnny Delgado of Haverhill, was arrested on an outstanding warrant charging him with reckless operation of a motor vehicle, operating under the influence of liquor, operating under the influence of drugs and not meeting motor vehicle safety standards. The arrests occurred at 2 a.m., Friday, at 310 Main Street. All three are due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court.

Two Nashua, New Hampshire men face drug possession charges after their arrests in Haverhill Thursday evening. Haverhill Police report 23-year-old Kyle Tamulonis and 18-year-old Anthony Tidwell, both of Nashua, were charged with possession of a class A drug. The arrests occurred at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, at 280 Main Street. An investigation is ongoing.

Also in police news, a Lawrence woman is due in Haverhill District Court to face a prostitution charge following her arrest Thursday night near Westgate Plaza. Haverhill Police report 18-year-old Leah Jones of Lawrence was arrested at 10:45 p.m., Thursday, at 401 Lowell Avenue, on a charge of sex for a fee.
