Haverhill Teen Due in Court on Weapon Charge

A Haverhill man is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court following his arrest on weapon and assault charges.

Haverhill Police report 19-year-old Johnson Devaughn of Haverhill was arrested at 5:15 p.m., Wednesday, in a traffic stop at Charles and North Streets. He is charged with carrying a dangerous weapon. Under an outstanding warrant, Devaughn is also charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and assault with intent to rob.

Two people arrested Wednesday during separate traffic stops in Haverhill are due to face charges in court of unlicensed operation. Haverhill Police report 39-year-old Matthew M. Belanger of Nashua, N.H., was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant charging him with failure to stop and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. The arrest occurred at 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, on Broadway at Edgewood Avenue. Earlier, shortly after 6:30 Wednesday evening, 26-year-old Reinaldo L. Matos of Haverhill was arrested by Haverhill Police on a charge of operating a motor vehicle after license suspension. The arrest was made at High and Jackson Streets.
