Water Main Break Affects Old Ferry Road Area

Haverhill Public Works crews are expected today to repave a patch of Old Ferry Road after a water main break late Monday morning affected a number of water customers in the area. Haverhill Water Division supervisor Robert Ward told WHAV affected streets included Old Ferry Road, a portion of East Broadway, Woods Avenue, Duquette Drive and Harbor Drive.

That is Haverhill Water Division supervisor Robert Ward. He told WHAV police notified them of the water main break, which occurred at about 11:30, Monday morning near 38 Old Ferry Road. Crews were able to shut down the rupture for repairs within two hours.

“The crews were dispatched out there. They were able to shut it down pretty quickly. They had it pretty much wrapped up…turning the water back on before 4 o’clock.”
