Team Haverhill’s  River Ruckus took place Saturday in downtown Haverhill. One of the highlights was the awarding of $10,000 to Donald Campbell of Haverhill who participated in the Haverhill Rotary Club’s Rubber Duck Regatta.

The $10,000 cash grand prize was donated by Rockingham Toyota, Honda, Scion of Salem, N.H. Campbell bought a “Quack Pack”—adopting 13 ducks for $50.

“Are you ____ing me?” he asked Rotary officials when notified of his win.

The second prize—a White Mountain / North Conway Escape for Two—went to Meredith Atwood of Haverhill. She bought a Flock, adopting 28 ducks for $100. Other prizes included two Red Sox Pavillion Club tickets, won by Michele Martin of Haverhill; Haverhill Country Club Round of Golf for 4, won by Jack Perrone of Haverhill; Golf for Four at Apple Hill Golf Cub, won by Paul Ferguson of Haverhill; and a “Day of Beauty,” featuring a haircut from Val Brothers Salon and a manicure and pedicure from the Nail Shoppe in Bradford, won by Adam Gardner of Methuen.

A fast moving thunderstorm briefly interrupted festivities, but music, activities and fireworks took place after a rainbow appeared over the Merrimack River.
