Six local residents head to court on various charges following another warrant sweep by Haverhill Police. Five of the arrests, which occurred between 5:45 and 7 p.m., Thursday, took place following traffic stops. Charges range from failure to attend jury duty or driving without a license to assault or shoplifting.
In other police news, two men from Haverhill are due to be arraigned on drug-related charges after their arrests last night at a Franklin Street home known to police for past illegal drug activity.
Haverhill Police report 26-year-old Andrew Sullivan and 24-year-old Jordan Isaac, both of Haverhill, were charged with possession of a class A substance and conspiracy to violate drug laws. The arrests occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m., Thursday at 70 Franklin Street. An investigation is ongoing.
A Haverhill man is facing attempted burglary charges following his arrest Thursday evening at a neighboring home.
Haverhill Police report 33-year-old Daniel G. Valenti was charged with attempted breaking and entering in the nighttime, and possession of burglarious tools. The arrest occurred shortly before 8 p.m., Thursday, at 63 Varnum Street. He is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court.
