Governor Deval Patrick will be honored by the Haverhill Democratic City Committee at a breakfast Saturday morning.

U.S. Senators Elizabeth Warren and Edward Markey have been invited as featured speakers during the annual event Saturday, Sept. 6., beginning at 10 a.m., at Maria’s Restaurant, 85 Essex Street, Haverhill.

“The HDCC will honor Governor Deval Patrick at the breakfast for his efforts on behalf of the Democratic Party, our state and our city,” according to a press release. Patrick is completing his final term this year. Several other local community activists will also be named 2014 “Distinguished Democrats.” A straw poll will be taken, providing attendees the opportunity to vote for their favorite Democratic candidate for each office before the official election Tuesday, September 9.

Tickets are $25 per person and may be purchased in advance or at the door. Although tickets will be sold at the door, seating is guaranteed to ticket holders who purchased tickets before the event.
