Team Haverhill is asking Haverhill city councilors to accept the gift of at least seven shoe sculptures that double as outdoor seating.

The first round of installations of the six-foot-long benches is scheduled later this month, according to Team Haverhill President Alice Mann. The fiberglass benches, part of the 2014 Soles of Haverhill project, will be attached to prefabricated concrete bases, she said.

Up to three more shoe benches may be installed, Mann said, depending on private funding.
