John E. Early

John E. Early, 58, of Haverhill died Thursday, August 28, 2014 unexpectedly at his home.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of Richard P. Early and Dorothy (Karekos) Early. He attended Haverhill public schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1974. A talented athlete, he was named “Boy of the Year” by the Haverhill Boy’s Club.

Early was employed in his family’s construction business for many years. He also owned his own company known as Early Bird International Import and Export. A vivacious, happy go lucky person, he cared for nothing more than how his loved ones were. He was an adventurous traveler and saw much of the country.

He leaves a daughter, Kelly M. Szypt, and her husband, John, of NH, a son, Jamie Szypt, of MA, his mother; Dorothy K. Early and her companion William P. Chase Sr., his father, Richard P. Early Sr. and his wife, Aida, of Atkinson, NH, three brothers; Richard P. Early Jr. and his wife, Mary Rose, Stephen P. Early and his wife Doreen, William C. Early and his wife, Maureen, a sister; Linda and her husband, James Flaherty Jr., and Godson; Richard P. Early III, all of Haverhill. He also leaves four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte. 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will begin at on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. James Church, Winter St. Haverhill. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Mill St. Haverhill. Memorial donations may be made to the Haverhill Boy’s and Girl’s Club, 55 Emerson St. Haverhill, MA 01830.
