Kevin F. Eldridge, 51, School Transport Chief

Kevin F. Eldridge, 51, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on August 20, 2014 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of Francis J. and Kathryn L. (Rice) Eldridge. He attended Haverhill public schools and was a graduate of Whittier Regional Technical High School, Class of 1980.

Kevin began his career working for Rice and Brouillard Electric Co., and later to Ralph Lauren / Polo Clothing. He then worked for the Class Inc. Transportation, and for the past seventeen years, he was a supervisor for the City of Haverhill Public School Transportation Department.

Kevin’s family and friends remember him as a strong, compassionate person who met and overcame many challenges during his lifetime. He was a devoted family man and he will be missed by all who knew him. He loved his children and enjoyed many summers at the lake in Maine.

He leaves his beloved wife, Kristin E. (Welch) Eldridge, a son; Christopher K. Eldridge, of Haverhill, two daughters; Kayla M. Eldridge, of Atkinson, and Alexandra C. Eldridge, of Haverhill, stepchildren; Ethan M. Call, Joseph C. Greathouse and Coltin C. Greathouse, and Destinee (Harrera) Wise, three grandchildren, James C. Eldridge, Aiden K. Eldridge, and Kassidee Castro, two brothers, Robert F. Eldridge and his wife, Judith, of Bradford, and Stephen C. Eldridge, of Methuen, two sisters, Catherine “Cathy” Carey, of Bradford, and Jeannie M. Delorey and her husband, Edward, of Hampstead, NH, and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Friday, August 22, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill.
