Beginning today, Haverhill High seniors and juniors may submit applications for assigned parking spaces in the school parking lot.
Haverhill High School Principal Beth Kitsos said students will choose their parking spaces on a first come, first served basis at the main office. Open registration for grades 11 and 12 will continue on Friday and Monday, August 25 in the office, where students will choose from available spaces when they turn in all required documentation. The office will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Students need to bring the valid registration of any cars they will park at HHS and a valid Massachusetts operators license.
Students will be assigned spots in Lots D, F and G, which are located behind Haverhill High School. Some staff members will also park in Lot F. Spaces were newly striped and numbered in mid-August when the entire HHS parking lot was seal-coated.
Kitsos said there are enough parking spaces for all juniors and seniors who want to drive their cars to school.
