Gloria L. (Cheney) Dinges, 89

Gloria L. (Cheney) Dinges, 89, of Bradford, passed away peacefully, Wednesday evening, August 13, at the Wingate at Haverhill.

She was born in Kingston, October 12, 1924 daughter of the late Edward and Gladys (Luigi) Cheney. Mrs. Dinges was educated in the Kingston school system and worked for many years at the former Lucent Technologies. Gloria enjoyed spending her time creating works of art through needle work. She loved to dance and spend time with her family.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Leon E. Dinges who passed away in 1981 and a son, Haverhill police officer Robert Dinges who passed away in 2008. Her survivors include her daughter Donna and her husband Raymond Bouchard of Bradford, a son, David E. Dinges and his wife Donna Paleologos of Lauderhill, Fla., brothers, Preston, Donald, Paul and Glenn Cheney, a sister Sandra Page, four grandchildren, five  great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dinges’ family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Wingate at Haverhill for the love and care given to Gloria during her stay with them. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Memorial Service on Wednesday, August 20th at 4:15, at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St. Haverhill, interment will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. Calling hours at the funeral home will precede the funeral service from 2 pm to 4pm. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Haverhill and Bradford.
