The Haverhill Stadium Commission voted unanimously to award naming rights to Trinity E.M.S.
The stadium will continue to be known as Trinity Stadium through 2017. In exchange, the company has agreed to pay the city $25,000 a year for three years.
“There were numerous bids, varying in … amounts and specifics, however the commission felt Trinity’s bid was the strongest and most qualified,” said Chairman William Moynihan.
Haverhill Schools Superintendent James F. Scully thanked Trinity EMS president John Chemaly for his personal support of the district and the backing of the company.
“We are very grateful to Trinity Ambulance Corporation and to John Chemaly for his time, effort and constant presence at many Haverhill High School events. Sometimes it’s easy to give money, but taking the time and effort to show up for the students in our school system is something that the administration in any district would appreciate, as we do here in Haverhill. John is one of those special individuals who is always there,” Scully said.
The money will be used to maintain and improve the 75-year old structure, which directly benefits the student-athletes and youth sports programs in the Haverhill community.
