Police Have Busy Weekend; Make Three Arrests

A Haverhill man facing multiple charges, including drunk driving, assault and child endangerment, in connection with an alleged confrontation over the weekend.

Haverhill Police report 30-year-old Gonzalo Figueroa of Haverhill was arrested at 4:15, Saturday morning, at 94 Eighth Avenue. He is charged with five counts of assault, four counts of child endangerment, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, operating a motor vehicle to endanger, malicious destruction of property and a restraining order violation. He is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court.

In other police news, a Lawrence woman is arrested by Haverhill Police on charges in connection with a disturbance on Saturday. Police report 20-year-old Kionelie Ortega of Lawrence was taken into custody at 7:20 a.m., Saturday on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, breaking and entering and malicious destruction of property. The arrest occurred at 5 Maple Street. No further details are available.

A weekend traffic stop in Haverhill leads to the arrest of two local residents on charges including disorderly conduct. Haverhill Police report 30-year-old James T. Foster and 24-year-old Erica George, both of Haverhill, were arrested late Friday night at White’s Corner. Foster is also charged with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license. George is facing an additional charge of resisting arrest, and was also taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.
