Richard R.J. “Dickie” Morehouse

Richard R.J. “Dickie” Morehouse, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry, N.H., on August 6, 2014 following a lengthy illness.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son Constance (Lousier) and the late, Richard V. Morehouse, and stepson to the late, Gordon Hughes. His early years were spent in Amesbury, attending Sacred Heart School. Relocating to Haverhill, he then attended Haverhill public schools and was a graduate of Essex Agricultural and Technical High School in 1972.
He was employed at various manufacturing companies in the area, including Haverhill paperboard, Borden chemical, and Consolidated Plastics. He enjoyed fishing, Painting, and riding his motorcycle.

He leaves his mother, Constance (Lousier) Hughes, of Newton, N.H., a son, Richard R.J. Morehouse, Jr., and his wife, Robin, of Haverhill, a daughter, Kelly Dow and her husband, Ronald, of Salem, N.H., siblings, Marie Bouchard and her husband, Mark, of Haverhill, Robert Morehouse and his wife, Beatrice, of Derry, N.H., Kevin Booton and his wife, Parthena, of West Virginia, Robin Parent, of Maine, Roy Morehouse and his fiancé, Michelle, of Salisbury, and Michelle Desmarias and her husband, Thomas, of Newton, N.H., six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial service for Dickie on Tuesday, August 12, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethany Church, 90 Chester Rd. Raymond, N.H. 03077. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill.
