Sandown Celebrates Old Home Days

Old Home Days festivities are taking place this weekend in the town of Sandown, New Hampshire.

The three-day festival kicks off Friday evening at Sandown Town Hall with a 5 p.m. Ham and Bean Supper sponsored by the Sandown Lions Club, followed by a 7 p.m. theater performance by the Sandlot Children’s Summer Theatre.

Saturday morning activities include a kid’s Fun Run, the Sandown 5-Miler Road Race and 5K Road Race, followed by a noon parade. Contests, live music and other activities are held throughout the day and culminate with fireworks at Sandlots at dusk.

Sunday will feature a traditional Old Home Day Service at 11 a.m. followed by a pot roast dinner, as well as the annual Guns and Hoses Softball game between the Sandown Police and Fire departments.
