Robert L. Lavoie, 73, of Plaistow passed away August 5, 2014 at the Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley, Haverhill.
Mr. Lavoie was born in Boston, December 29, 1940 the only son of Alice (Shatuck) Lavoie. He was educated in the Haverhill school system and graduated from the Haverhill Trade School. Mr. Lavoie furthered his education by taking electrical courses in Boston for four more years after graduation. Robert was employed for many years at AT&T from where he retired. After his retirement he worked for both Regan Ford as well as Karelis Jewelers in Haverhill. Mr. Lavoie enjoyed playing tennis at Cederdale Athletic Club in Haverhill, vacationing at his home in North Conway, N.H., and skiing. Robert was also a past member of the Haverhill Elks.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Robyne and her husband Ronald Uliano of Atkinson, N.H., a son, Barry Lavoie of Haverhill, three grandchildren, Matthew and Maggie Uliano and Nicole Lavoie as well as many cousins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his calling hours Thursday, August 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St. (Rt. 125) Bradford. Interment will be private and at the convenience of his family.
