Methuen Seeks Witnesses in Motorcycle Crash

Methuen Police are investigating the cause of a motorcycle crash Tuesday night in which the operator received non-life-threatening injuries.

A Methuen Police spokesman says a motorcycle operated by 45-year-old Matthew Gosselin of Lawrence was traveling eastbound on East Street at a bend near Presentation of Mary Academy at about 10:15, Tuesday night.

For unknown reasons, the motorcycle crossed over the double yellow line proceeded across the westbound lane of traffic, collided with a rock wall and subsequently coming to a final rest against a telephone pole.

Gosselin was transported to Lawrence General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation with the assistance of the Massachusetts State Police Crash Analysis Unit. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Methuen Police.
