Police Make Arrests for Theft, Drugs

A Haverhill man is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court on theft-related charges following a police investigation. Haverhill Police report 42-year-old Jeffrey Savin of Haverhill was arrested shortly before 9:30, Sunday night at his Shelly Road address. He is charged with receiving stolen property and a motor vehicle number plate violation. No further details are available.

In other police news, two men face drug-dealing charges from Haverhill Police detectives after their arrests Friday night on White Street. Police report 33-year-old Erick Deleon of Lawrence was charged with distribution of a class A drug, and conspiracy to violate drug laws. Also arrested was 29-year-old Micris Godfrey, listed as homeless. He is charged with possession of a class B drug with intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug laws and resisting arrest. Both suspects are due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court.

Haverhill Police have charged five people, including a couple from Lawrence, on drug charges in connection with the alleged distribution of heroin. Police report 32-year-old Alejandro Diaz and 24-year -ld Jennifer Diaz, both of Lawrence, were arrested on Merrimack Street Friday after an investigation into reported drug activity in the upper avenues area. They are each charged with distribution of a class A drug and conspiarcy to violate drug laws. The other three were arrested at a Park Street home on charges ranging from possession with intent to distribute to being present where heroin is kept.
