Elsie V. (Seavey) Spero, 89, of Hampstead, NH and formerly of Haverhill, died Wednesday morning, July 23 at Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood, NH.
She was born in Haverhill, June 20, 1925, daughter of the late Galen and Martha (Hunt) Seavey and was educated in the Haverhill school system. Mrs. Spero was employed as a stitcher in the local shoe shops, and was a member of the former St. Rita’s Church, Haverhill. She was the wife of the late Anthony P. Spero who died in 2010, mother of the late Paul A. Spero who died in 2009 and sister of the late Richard Seavey and Doris Seavey. Her survivors include a daughter, Geraldine Schena and her husband Anthony of Hampstead, NH, and a brother, Donald Seavey of Haverhill. She was the beloved grandmother of Brian Spero, Kristin Spero, Christopher Schena, Beth Ann Sosa and Meghan Cucurullo; and great grandmother of seven and a great-great grandmother of one. She also had several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood, NH for their care and support. They would also like to thank Home Helpers for their assistance with her home care in the years preceding her death.
There will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, July 29, at 12:00 noon in All Saints Church, Haverhill. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Haverhill.
