Rolande Yvette (Roy) Cormier, 85

Rolande Yvette (Roy) Cormier, 85, of Haverhill died peacefully on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Penacook Place in Haverhill.

Born in Montreal, Canada, daughter of the late Adolphe and Laura (Lessard) Roy, Mrs. Cormier attended local schools before immigrating to the United States and settling in Hingham, MA, where she continued her education. She moved to Groveland, MA and later Haverhill, where she spent most of her life.

Mrs. Cormier was employed locally at Western Electric Company and had also worked as the book keeper for Haverhill Beef Company for many years.

A member of All Saints Parish and the former St. Joseph Parish, she enjoyed dancing as well as bowling as a member of the St. Joseph Bowling League.

She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-five years, Frank Cormier, a daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Bradford Johnson of Newbury, NH, a sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Henry Watts of Atkinson, NH, and two grandchildren, Eric Johnson and Kirsten Johnson.

Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA. Her funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
