Council Considers Rail Trail, Waste Contract

The Bradford Rail Trail project and trash disposal contract matters top Tuesday’s Haverhill City Council meeting agenda.
Haverhill Mayor James J. Fiorentini is asking the council to approve a petition to lay out and establish the non-vehicular passageway on a former rail bed between the Basiliere Bridge and South Elm Street. The plan has a favorable recommendation from the Haverhill Planning Board.

Also councilors William Macek and Colin LePage have requested a discussion on potential concerns related to an upcoming solid waste and recycling contract. The Haverhill City Council meets at 7 p.m., Tuesday in council chambers at Haverhill City Hall.
