Police Make Separate Alleged DWI, Shoplifting Arrests

Two Haverhill men were accused of driving without a license in two separate traffic stops on Monday.

Haverhilll Police report 29-year-old Ryan Gobeil of Haverhill was arrested shortly after 2:30, Monday afternoon at the intersection of Main and Summer Streets. He is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence and operating with a suspended license for a previous OUI charge. In a separate incident, Haverhill police arrested 36-year-old Pedro Santiago of Haverhill at 10:45, Monday morning on a charge of operating a motor vehicle after license revocation during a traffic stop on Portland Street.

Two people, including a juvenile, are accused of shoplifting in separate police investigations. Haverhill Police report a 14-year-old female from Haverhill was arrested shortly before 4:30, Monday afternoon at 150 Lafayette Square. In a separate case, police arrested 39-year-old Jose Defrancesco of Haverhill at 4:45, Monday morning at 503 River Street. Each suspect is charged with a single count of shoplifting. However, Defrancesco also faces a separate charge of drinking in public after being arrested a second time on Monday. That incident occurred shortly before 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of White Street and Vine Street.
