Another grand opening in recent weeks for upgrades at a Haverhill city park.
Haverhill Mayor James J. Fiorentini is scheduled to open new playground equipment area at Riverside Park at 2:30 p.m., Monday. This new state-of-the-art equipment was added to some existing playground equipment to enhance the playground area for families.
This $35,000 project was in the current city budget and has been a priority for the mayor to complete, according to a city hall press release. Mayor Fiorentini said, “We can never have too many areas for families to enjoy their leisure time. This new playground equipment was in my 2014 fiscal year budget and I am thrilled to have it ready for the summer!”
