Police Make Drug Arrests at Hadley West

Haverhill Narcotics Detectives arrested a Lawrence man for allegedly selling cocaine near the Hadley West Apartments. Besides the cocaine, 20 bags of heroin and cash were seized. Two Haverhill men also face drug-related charges in connection with the investigation.

The arrests were made at 10:25, Thursday morning at 517 Hadley West Drive. Haverhill Police report 21-year-old Alberto Jimenez of Lawrence was charged with possession of a class A drug with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug laws. Fifty-four year old Thomas M. Flanagan of Haverhill and 45-year-old Gerald Fleury of Haverhill are each charged with knowingly being present and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

A Haverhill Police spokesman says this is the second time in as many days that a Lawrence man has been arrested while delivering drugs to Haverhill customers. Haverhill Police say they have met with residents of the area who have expressed concerns of suspect drug sales.

In other police news, An Everett man was arrested by Haverhill Police on Thursday following an investigation into alleged armed robbery and shoplifting incidents.

Haverhill Police report 33-year-old Alan King of Everett was taken into custody shortly before 1 p.m., Thursday at police headquarters on three warrants for charges of armed robbery, conspiracy, shoplifting, possession of burglarious tools and attempt to commit a crime.
