AP Calls Downtown ‘a neighborhood on the cusp’

Exciting, and often delicious things start happening when a place itches for a comeback.

That’s the word as the city of Haverhill’s downtown restaurant district is getting some national media exposure as a summer destination.  An article by the Associated Press calls the neighborhood of Washington, Essex and Wingate Streets “a neighborhood on the cusp” and describes its as a hub that’s trying to lead the way in the city’s revival.  The article highlights offerings at several dining and food establishments in and around the restaurant district along with its mix of retail and cultural offerings.
