Haverhill youth, get ready to hoop it up! Last summer, the Mount Washington Alliance held a pitch contest asking neighbors to create community-based activities, and later this month, first-place winners Adrian Delgado and Tito Rivera will make their program a reality when they host the For Youth By Youth Basketball Tournament at Consentino.
Twenty-four basketball players aged 12-18 are taking part in the games, played at 685 Washington St., on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 5-7 p.m. Spots are still available and there is no entry fee to take part. All players receive a free T-shirt.
