COCO Brown Celebrates Black History Month With Lectures, Open Mic Shows

Kat Everett and the team at COCO Brown are celebrating February’s Black History Month with a series of lectures, open mic shows and other events at the Washington Street creative space.

Each Friday in February, an Open Mic Show event is planned from 7-9 p.m., with Sulay Daphne Sanchez participating in the inaugural show Feb. 8. Wednesday night lectures happen on Feb. 13 and 20, with a discussion on “People of Color in Haverhill’s History” capping off the month of programming on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m.

All events are free and advance registration is requested via Eventbrite.com. Walk-ins are welcome.
