Mary L. “Mary Lou” (Blinn) Dinges, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Friday, January 25, 2019 at Wingate at Haverhill. Mary Lou was born June 28, 1935 in Haverhill, MA the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Crocket) Blinn. She was raised and educated in Haverhill and was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mary Lou dedicated much of her life to her family and providing a nurturing home for her adoring children. She continued to share her love and home with others by fostering over 100 children during her lifetime. Mary Lou had a loving and giving heart and will be dearly remembered for her kindness, generosity and devotion to others. She enjoyed time with her family, loved animals and loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mary Lou is survived by three children, Raymond P. DeBlois and wife Lisa of Haverhill, MA, John C. DeBlois and husband Claude of Orlando, FL and Mary R. DeBlois and wife Katheryn of Nashua, NH. She also leaves behind two brothers, Charles Blinn Jr. and John Blinn, both of Plaistow, NH and two sisters Linda Pinette of Plaistow and Evelyn Royer of Groveland. Mary Lou will also be dearly missed by her two grandchildren, Sarah and Jennifer, three great-grandchildren, Sofia, Finley and Anthony, many nieces, nephews and many dear friends. She was pre-deceased by her daughter Sarah. Mary Lou will forever be remembered as a caring giving soul.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Thursday, January 31, 2018 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at The Grondin-Carnevale Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Ave. Haverhill, MA 01830. A funeral mass will be held Friday at 12:00 PM from All Saints Parish, 120 Bellevue Ave. Haverhill, MA. Burial will take place in Linwood Cemetery.
