Parolisi Aims to Set High School Scholarship Record

This year is Anthony J. Parolisi’s first student scholarship drive on behalf of Haverhill’s educators, and he hopes to set a record.

Parolisi, a social studies teacher at Consentino School, is leading this year’s effort to award the Haverhill Education Association’s annual scholarship to a graduate of Haverhill High School. Eligible students are those who have been educated by Haverhill teachers from grades five through 12.

“So far, we’ve raised almost $1,700. We’ve got another push next week we’re calling ‘Code Blue.” We’re hoping to put us over the top—over $2,000 is our goal,” said Parolisi, who also serves as second vice president of the union.

During Code Blue, Haverhill teachers will wear blue clothing Thursday, April 2, as part of the final push for scholarship contributions.
